Suitcase and customs

LIGHTWEIGHT, COMFORTABLE CLOTHING

  • Lightweight clothing: summer outfits such as shorts, T-shirts, lightweight dresses and shirts made from natural materials (cotton, linen). Polynesia's tropical climate is hot and humid, so comfortable, airy clothes are your best allies.
  • Swimwear: A must for enjoying the lagoons and paradise beaches. Make sure you bring several, as you'll be spending a lot of time in the water.
  • Pareo: Perfect for the beach, walks or even as a light blanket. It's the typical garment you'll see everywhere you go, and it's practical to take with you.
  • Light footwear: Sandals or flip-flops are ideal for walks around the islands and on the beach. Light hiking boots are also a must if you plan to explore the mountains and forests.

SUN PROTECTION

  • Hat or cap: The Polynesian sun is intense, especially in the middle of the day, so a good wide-brimmed hat or cap will protect you.
  • Sunscreen: Choose a cream with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50) and, if possible, one that is environmentally friendly to protect the coral reefs.
  • Sunglasses: Good-quality sunglasses with UV protection are essential to protect your eyes from the sun's rays.

ESSENTIAL ITEMS

  • Mask and tuba: If you like snorkeling, having your own equipment may be more practical, although many hotels lend them out.
  • Waterproof bag: Very useful for keeping your belongings dry during boat excursions or walks near the water.
  • Light jacket or windbreaker: Even if temperatures are mild, a light jacket can be useful on cooler evenings or if you're going on a mountain excursion.

FIRST-AID KIT

  • Mosquito repellent: Essential for protection against bites, especially on evening walks.
  • Small first-aid kit: Take along something to treat small cuts or wounds, as well as basic medicines (painkillers, anti-diarrhoeals, etc.).
  • Basic toiletries: The bare minimum is enough, as you'll find everything you need on site.

TECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT

  • Waterproof camera: If you want to capture the beauty of the seabed and your aquatic adventures.
  • Adapter: In Polynesia, electrical outlets are type E (as in France). Check whether you need an adapter depending on your country of origin.
