Remember, by the end of 2013, the takeover of the former Hotel Te Tiare Beach Resort in Huahine by the owners of Hotel Royal Tahitien on Tahiti, who renamed it Hotel Royal Huahine: the Royal Polynesia hotel chain was born.
Several changes have been announced for both hotels, the renovation program is launched, and the commercial conditions revised.
Famous for its local atmosphere and Live evenings, The Royal Tahitien is a standard hotel close to Papeete, with an extensive garden, a family-friendly swimming pool area, and a wonderful seafront restaurant. Ideal for a 2 to 3 night stay in Tahiti, the hotel most recent renovations and new facilities include:
– The new looking restaurant now fully covered; which makes it easier to host concerts
– An open-air banquet area by the beach
– A more select air-conditioned lounge with a kitchen and toilet, available for private lunches and dinners
– All rooms have been repainted and redecorated in more Polynesian colors
– 3 room categories: Standard, Studio with equipped kitchenette, and a Suite with a small lounge which will be available for 2015 season.
Since the change of ownership, The Royal Huahine major assets have remained untouched: an extensive and well-maintained garden, a stunning white sand beach, a nice bathing area with a floating pontoon, good food, and very spacious bungalows both interior and exterior. The takeover has also seen the hotel benefitting from an embellishment program:
– The renovation of the Overwater and Beach categories: the decks have been freshened up and the dated interiors replaced by chocolate/turquoise colors. The bathroom (renovated before the takeover) and dressing room have remained unchanged. Works on the Garden Bungalows have started and should be completed in 2015
– A road accessing directly the hotel is presently being built, but no completion date has yet been announced
– Once the road is open: there will be a car park at the entrance, with a “fare” dedicated to check-ins. The present main Reception area, within the hotel, will remain in place
– Once the road is completed, regular transfers to/from the airport will only be operated by car. The access by the lagoon will dedicated exclusively to private boat transfers and lagoon excursions
– The boutique shop and Fare Spa are presently under renovation
