Visitors who are not guests at the resort can visit the marine Turtle Center at Le Méridien Bora Bora subject to the following conditions:
– Reservations will only be accepted through the hotel activities desk. Reservations must be made no more than 2 or 3 days in advance. According to the rate of occupancy, the hotel reserves the right to refuse admission to visitors who are not hotel guests.
– As an indication, pricing is approximately 50 Euro/person to attend the turtle feeding session taking place at 10:30 am, and approximately 84 Euro/person to swim with the turtles, excursion starting at 9:00 am. The center is open daily except Mondays and Thursdays.
The project began when the hotel took in 1, then 2 injured turtles, then decided to open a reception and treatment center and finally to develop a nursery in the channel that flows into the hotel inner lagoon. In this protected area, visitors can watch the turtles being fed at 10.30 am every day except Monday, Thursday. In 2012, a panoramic window was installed to make viewing easier. This is a chance for the biologists of the Centre to describe the turtle protection mission and the specific features of the 2 species that live in our lagoons.
