The shuttle boat company Aremiti has just launched its latest ferry, received in late December 2013. The Aremiti Ferry II is now undertaking return voyages between Tahiti & Moorea, alongside the Terevau and the Aremiti 5.
With a capacity of 967 passengers and 146 vehicles, the hi-speed vessel is the most spacious of the 3 existing boats and has a crossing time of 40 minutes, as opposed to 30 minutes for the other 2. The vessel is also equipped with air-conditioned cabins, toilets, a snack bar, TV screens and a sun deck, but above all it is fully accessible to limited-mobility passengers.
The new Aremiti schedule timetable is applicable from now on; the 2014 rate set for the 3 ships remains unchanged.
